Why I Am Not A Theologian
~Steve Slagg Sometimes I think things like "Saxophone is far from safe, you know?” Like, “Saxophone is all the blue in Chicago siphoned out with a syringe and shot up straight into my veins, which the saxophone plays from within." But I know if it were me I would arrange the blue in ordered rows, by size and shape and typology of blue, and I would ask the blue, "What hue?" and "How deep are you?" and "Can there really be that many different shades of blue, if God is good?" And blue doesn't really have that kind of patience, so instead I ask Dietrich Bonhoeffer. |
